Insurance Claims
Insurance, more and more, is beginning to pay for audiology services. Most of the diagnostic procedures are covered.
Call 865-357-2334 to see if your insurance provider will cover your needed procedures. We will help you walk through the process .
We are especially interested in advocating for parents whose young child is deaf and the insurance is "balking". If your baby has been covered by the same insurance policy since birth, there may be help! Please bring your insurance cards with you to your appointment.
Schedule an Appointment
Appalachian Audiology encourages everyone to make an appointment, however we will see people without an appointment based on availability.
Hearing Tests take one hour to administer. Hearing Evaluations take from 1 to 1 1/2 hours. Hearing Aid Fittings and Orientations typically take 1 1/2 hours. Cleaning and re-programming hearing aids takes between 30-45 minutes.
Call 865-357-2334 to schedule your appointment.
Second Opinions
You can contact Dr. Jan Dungan to schedule a 30 minute meeting at no charge, because insurance doesn't usually pay for consultations. You should bring your hearing test results and recommendations to the appointment and Dr. Dungan will give you information to consider as well as their professional opinion about your choices.
Our Goal: Every time you leave the office, you are hearing a little bit better
