Apps for Adjusting Hearing Aids

"App" is the abbreviated term for "application." An "app" is simply a software program for a mobile device like a smart phone (iPhone®), tablet (iPad®), or handheld music player (iPod®). Apps perform a variety of functions and allow you to customize a device to your particular hobbies, lifestyle choices, wants, and needs.

Many hearing aid manufacturers currently offer smartphone and tablet APPs for their devices.

Apps for Signia, Phonak, and Oticon Hearing Aids

Apps for Signia Hearing Aids: Most Signia hearing aids are compatible with useful apps for Android and iOS smartphones.
- Signia now offers four apps that provide a variety of features depending on the circuit. They are available for download by clicking here.
  - The myControl app: acts as a remote control for quick and easy adjustments and personalization of Signia hearing aids
  - The myHearing app: provides guided assistance and personal monitoring for the individual who is learning how to maximize the features of their particular hearing instruments
  - The easyTek app: allows users to change the hearing programs, volume, and tinnitus settings of the hearing instruments. Also allows the individual to check the status of their hearing aid batteries
  - The touchControl app: allows users to control their hearing aids from their Android™ or iOS® smartphone without the need for any additional hardware
All must be paired (connected) to the phone and the hearing aids. The advantages are numerous, but can offer discrete adjustments of the hearing aids instead of touching the aids.
Apps for Phonak Hearing Aids: Most Phonak hearing aids are compatible with useful apps for android and iOS smartphones. Here is a summary of four of the apps. All current Phonak technology hearing aids can utilize one to three of the following apps:
- Remote Control: Download the Phonak Remote Control app. This works with hearing aids that require a body worn streamer to remotely change volume, program, etc.
- Tinnitus: Download the Phonak Tinnitus Balance app. The treatment sounds can be played with ear buds or speaker, or streamed to hearing aids for effective tinnitus treatment.
- Children's interactive app: Download the Phonak Leo Storybook app.
Apps for Oticon Hearing Aids:
- Install the Oticon ON app. Available on all iOS and android devices. The Oticon ON app is the connection between your hearing aids and IFTTT service. This works with Oticon OPN hearing aids. A nifty feature is the "find your hearing aid" function.

Apps for Hearing, Managing Tinnitus, and Captioning
