Hearing Aid Manufacturers

Appalachian Audiology dispenses Siemens, Oticon, Phonak, Resound, Unitron, and Widex hearing aids.  Each manufacturer offers similar features, but each also has unique features which may be more appropriate for one listener. 

For example:

• Siemens manufactures good value rechargeable hearing aids with especially clear sound for moderate to severe hearing loss.
• Oticon provides an excellent hearing device for people who use cell phones many hours of the day
• Phonak has a waterproof hearing aid
• Resound has a good system for people who don't hear the same in both ears
• Unitron has a nifty hearing aid for hearing in noise
• Widex has a frequency transposition feature on one of their hearing aids for individuals with little or no high frequency hearing which, for some, improves word understanding.
