Testing Hearing in Teens

Teenagers with suspected or diagnosed hearing loss typically do not like to be tested.

Appalachian Audiology offers a unique solution especially designed for teenagers.

This sound room is equipped with Playstation3 and parent-approved games to keep the teen challenged while the adults talk and testing is performed. 

Hearing aids can be adjusted on children while they enjoy videos on the large screen television.

Once teenagers receive their examination, the audiologist will detect and diagnose hearing loss, and work with the parents and child to help find a solution to each teenager's specific hearing loss.

Should I See an Audiologist?

Many times hearing loss goes undetected for years before being diagnosed and properly treated.

You can take a short hearing self-test and see if you currently experience any conditions that are indications of hearing loss.
